my sony cd/dvd player DVP-360, plays music cd's but shows "no disc" when dvd's are inserted.

try cleaning the lens with a cleaning disk if that don't work get a new drive as there not worth messing around with these days. the LG DVD writer only costs £30 from ebuyer
