Have recently had uvpc patio doors fitted, and am now having problems opening and closing them. I have been told that this is due to expansion because of he warmer weather, is this likely and will I be having more problems once the tempertures cool down during winter?

yes they do expand if in direct sunlight but the company who fitted the doors are responsable for the doors to be working correctly,call them back and tell them to sort them out,its not down to you to adjust them

They do seem to have probs after fitting ,but get the fitters back (or fiddle with the hinges yersel'), after this initial settling period,when re-adjusted they seem fine all year long. Don't take this "expansion" sh*t (I am sure they do but there is enuf leeway in temp extemes if they are lined up properly).

ALL materials expand when heated.this does not mean your doors should jam.are u realy expected to only use the doors on cold days!They have been fitted incorrectly.
