I cant stop my tiolet from leaking from the close coupling connection?

I' ve replaced the syphon and replaced the cistern back onto the pan with new seals but cant get it to stop leaking. Any ideas?

make sure you have tightened cone washers on the long bolts that take the wing nuts that hold the cistern on to the pan, use a brand new donut washer, if the old one has a hexegan imprint on it, or is marked

Sounds like its not in correct possition because it normally seals if aligned correctly.silicon sealant works as a last resort!
