Anybody know about AEG dishwasher Favorit Sensorlogic?

I bought it new 4 years ago and have been well pleased with it.
On the front it says: AEG Genius favorit sensorlogic.

Recently two problems have occured:
1. it doesn't heat the water anymore
2. The "turbo dryer" doesn't work anymore

It still washes the dishes ok (especially if I open the door and chuck in a liter of hot water at the start of the economy wash program).

Am pretty good at engineering problems but don't know where to start with this as logic tells me it could be anything from a naff sensor to a dead heater element.

Any ideas?

Had thge same problem a few years ago it was the heater relay on the PCB. I am currently away from home and have just spoke to my wife and it is not heating again, probably the same fault

We have the same problem bought it 4 years ago. Seems to be a feature with this machine

Bought the same dishwasher 4 years ago and has had 2 heating elements replaced as I had the same problems.

While I cannot offer you an answer to the problem, I can sympathise because I have the same model, bought in 2004, and the contents of the dishwasher remain wet after washing. I thought it was the heating element at fault, or a PCB. I didn't even know it had a turbo-dryer!

heater relay on main control pcb could be burnt or have bad solder connections.there is only 1 relay on it so not hard to see.element could be blown.should be about 21 ohms.turbo dryers are mounted on the top (if fitted) and can seize up,although drying will be bad if there is no water heater working as it relies on this heat to dry pots at end of cycle
