why wont my cd player work in my 2003 toyota corrola?

i put cds in the cd player and it will not play them

I had the same problem with my cd player as it wasnt used for a long period of time. I place a CD in the player and just kept ejecting it. Repeat this like 20 times. Let the player try and read the cd a few times also. For me this worked. hope it works for you.

Does the radio part work?
If so, then the problem is the CD player.
Does the CD player show any display?
If not, then it might be the battery feeds to it ..(fuse blown etc)
If it has some form of display (proving that the battery feeds are OK ) and you have the code then try a "reboot" by removing fuse or battery connection for 5 minutes, replace then enter code.
If still faulty, then it might be a dirty laser. Buy a CD cleaning kit (off Ebay for a fiver) and see if that works.
Otherwise it`s a trip to the repairman or buy a new player.
