Not turning on?

I received a Kodak Easyshare C653 for Christmas and have only used it a few times. Now the camera will not turn on. I have changed the batteries (2 different sets) and it still will not turn on.

What can I do?

make sure the batteries are in the right way, it is easy to put the batteries in the wrong way due to a misleading diagram on this camera
