when i turn the camera on i have an Err CF on the screen
ie there is a problem with the CF card and it says replace the
CF card.Have tried 6 of my previous card and the same message
appears.Ordered a new CF card and still same problem.

Assuming it's not a damaged CF card socket pin, you'll have seen its not an uncommon problem Seems to need the CF module inside the camera replacing. It may be better just to get a new camera body, unfortunately - or even a new, different camera since thre seems to be a lot of problems wit hthe CF module in these.
