How do I fix a cut wire?

I cut through the wire of my low voltage garden lights with a strimmer. It is 2 core and I have bought a 5 amp 2 core flex connector. I started to strip a bit of the insulation to see the wires, the cable has two separate insulated wires inside the main rubber and when i stripped those there were mini copper wires...what do I do? Do i twist the mini ones together and put them in the connector?

I have cut the cable cord on my new lawn mower. The wire inside the cable afe blue and brown. I have tried to reconnect them but it still does not work. Do I need any kind of cable connector?

Yes just twist the copper on each internal cable and then screw them into the connector. They are usually color coded so make sure the same color is on either side. I suggest you also bind the finial thing in insulation tape to keep out the water.

CABLE - CONNECTOR - CABLE
Blue -------------- O O ------------------Blue
Brown ------------ O O ------------------Brown
