Hi there i had a problem with mine exactly the same and the bushes were gone {worn}

You can buy a set for under £10.00 from your local appliance centre. Just take off top lid of washing machine held on by two screws on rear and you should see the motor. The bushes just slide into the motor ****make sure electric is off first ******* easy job 15 minutes approx

Hi i'm no expert on this but mine did the same recently and i sorted it , so may be the same problem for you, first thing it take the back off, is the belt still attached to the motor spindle and around the drum,if so will it rotate manually, can you spin it by hand and if so does the motor and drum turn easily, The problem with mine was one of the carbon bushes were stuck and so not contacting the windings thus not making a circuit, Take the belt off, undo in my case the 2 17mm nuts pull the motor free, unplug the connectors ,at the back there are 2 wires attached to bushes, these should spring in and out and touch the windings, one of mine was jammed so i took it out and scraped it with a knife put it back together and away it went, Hope this works for you, Cheers Andy
