All of a sudden my Miele Novotronic W853 will not spin. It fills with some water and does not complete the program properly as no drum movement takes place. I can still hear the motor going when it's in the spin part of the cycle. Any ideas?

Hi...
I had similar problem with Miele Novotronic 520, the drum would just not turn and the Rinses light would flash and then the "---" symbol would appear on display.

I put hand in the drum, and it would not move, so i push really hard, and the drum began to move freely. Tried again, and hey presto its working again.

Although I think I may need brushes in the future, will see how long it lasts.
