I have a Zanussi zjd1219 which is only just over 2 years old.
It wont heat the water up nor will it heat the air in the dryer.
I had it looked at by an Engineer who recommends that I scrap it and buy a new one. Since these are over £500 on the web it seems a bit drastic to me considering that apart from the heating problem everything else is still working. Is it worth getting it repaired?
Any ideas on what the fault could be?

Did the engineer pull it out to give you a diagnoses???.heating element might be blown and dryer condensor might be blocked .both easy and cheap to repair

The Engineer did pull the machine out ,he also mentioned that he thought the element was faulty but stated that it would not be worth repairing ,although it is just over 2 years old ,it has been used at the very most only once a week so has hardly been used at all
