i bought a used dell inspiron from a someone (who i cant get ahold of any more) that starts fine until i get to the logon w/password part any help as how to get by that would be appreciated

Take it to a computer shop because I am not going to help someone whom I do not know to crack a secured machine on an open forum and I hop that no one else will either.

I am sure that you did not steal it but other people do and it is not a good idea to help them.
