Can anyone help with my Sky Cable issues from dish to box?

Hello
I have recently moved into a new property that has a sky mini dish, I have a digibox from sky already and am planning on getting a freesat card from sky for £20. But the wire going from the dish to the inside of the house has been cut, can I just buy a new cable and re-wire using the existing connection to the dish or will I need a new dish?

Thanks

Before buying a Freesat from Sky card you may want to look at a couple of other ideas.

First of all if you used to have a subscription then your old Viewing Card will work as a Freesat From Sky (FFS) card. Once you have connected the Sky box to the dish, just leave the card in the box for up to three days and it will 'come alive'.

I'd also have a look at Freesat (not the same thing as FFS). (www.freesat.co.uk/). A Freesat box will plug right in to your existing dish.

You will get nearly all the same stuff as FFS. (Channel Five isn't there yet but will be.) Boxes cost £50 with no cards or subscription needed. If you have an HD TV you can get an HD box for £120 and a Personal Video recorder is coming soon. (Like Sky+ but FREE.)

you can rewire it , is the L b n still on the end of it? thats the white bulb like thing that on the end of the arm that comes of the dish, when your getting the cable ask for "twist on " F plugs you will need two of them one for each end of the cable their are about £ 1.75 each, but dont put the last one on till you put the cable through the hole in the window frame, ask in the shop to put one of the f plugs on for you , and just copy it on the other end, and use tape to hold f plug in place on the cable , tape it well so it wont pull apart , good luck
