i have a compacks dvd player and the scart connection in the back has gone bust the sound comes through but there is no picture i have tried it on differant leads and differant tvs is it repairable or should i just throw it away?

Try a website called www.freewebs.com/repairs4u and take a look there. If needed quick i will give you the lowdown on tackling this problem. First,Remove the top cover by the visible screws, then when the top is of, take a look at the scart socket pins to check for loose connections, if connections r loose,re-attach with soldering iron. If pins are fine, and still under warranty,Take it back to where you pruchased it of just bin it.They cost aroundd £30 so it is cheap to buy a new one.
