how can i fix my ariston margherita 2000?

I load it switch on,it then makes a noise as tho it's wanting to turn the drum but it's not.Iv'e checked the belt and it's intact and still on.

If your drum starts spinning if you give it a nudge on the belt when you try to start it, then it might be the condensator.
