vauxhall astra 1.6 16 valve?

When I turn my steering wheel theres a rattling noise coming from my front wheels, anyone know why this is

Found out that the brake pads are low and the noise is made by a metal clip rubbing on the brake disc to make you aware of this, otherwise you will end up getting metal to metal
