How can I change the rear axle bushes on rear sub frame?

Ford Courier Van
KL51NXH
How can I change the outer rear axle bushes on rear subframe of the above vehicle?
Helen, June 2008
difficult job to do- axle assy will have to be removed brackets at ends will need knocking off, usually will come out with torsion bar attached, torsion bar will need pressing out of bracket, then inner [metal] part of bush will need pressing out of bracket. outer part of bush will need removing from trailing arm. clean up splines on torsion bar and areas where bush fits then refit new bush [only do one side at a time so you can set torsion bar to same setting as opposite side [checked by height of opp end bracket] to press inner part of bush out i find the best way is to mig weld blank piece to tube and press on blank. good luck!
