Toshiba Amp Faulty Left Chanel?

Can anybody help in fixing my 30+year old Toshiba AM/FM Receiver model SA-500, the left chanel is faulty. I know its a shot in the dark, but up to now its been an excellent unit and its very well made. Its hard to match the quality and I would like to see if it could be repaired.

Assuming that you have proved whether it`s the speaker or radio?

Assuming it`s the radio, then a common fault is the output transistor "blowing" on one channel (ie..going short circuit and also destroying a resistor or two.)

Can be tested using a meter.

Can usually be repaired by D-I-Y or at a repair shop.

Ask here for advice re price etc.
