Should the light on my ceiling switch with neon be permanently on?

I have just fitted a ceiling switch with neon (45 amp) from Hombase. The LED light remains on even if the shower is off. Is this correct?

no it is not right.
neon should only come on when switch is on as it is wired on the load side IE going to shower, spur ect as other side is coming from mains.

You have wired it wrong!

No. You have connected the supply to the outlet connection in your switch.
The neon is only connected to the 'load' ie, shower side of the switch. You have got the incoming supply connected to the wrong side of the switch.
As this switch is a 'double pole' switch ie both the live and the neutral are switched you must ensure both the feed and its accompanying neutral are plugged into the correct connection socket.
Remember FEED is Power IN
Remember LOAD is Power OUT
The switch connection sockets should be marked FEED or LOAD
Dont forget to turn the power off first!
