When I start a cycle on my Hotpoint Aquarius WMA36, the machine starts to fill with water then the motor? starts to whine and the water stops filling. The machine is 3 yrs old but has been in storage for the last 2. I stated using it again about a month ago with no problems until now...Please help.

hi i have the same problem check the inlet water pipes hot and cold do not have kink in pipe or it could be the water pump is blocked and the water is draining through the water pump
hope this is some help. when the prewash light is flashing that means there is not enough water in the drum.
