my dvd player will not read dvds although it will read cds. is this fixable? is it something i can do? or should i just purchase a new player. i've tried cleaning it but it won't read the disk to clean it. i have i phillips vcr/dvd combo. i bought it new two years ago
Take the unit apart ,with power off clean optical lens with Qtip and light rubbing alcohol.This is a dirty optical.
Dvds are smaller holes,so they are harder to read.
Thats why cds work
