i have a twyfords close coupled toilet needing repair?

I need to replace plastic fitting that connects my cistern to close coupled toilet which was damaged by coupling kit eroding. I have been able to replace coupling kit but cannot find this spare. The toilet is about 8 yrs old.

The answer is quite simple really, phone Twyfords on 0844 412 5923, mention the Nocturn accelerator and quote item numbers CF8138XX and the coupling kit CF8100XX, current cost about £40.

PS the 'doughnut' goes flat side up pushed over the pipe so that the large hexagon plastic nut gets pushed into the rubber as the two bolts and wing nuts are tightened. The hollow cylinder soft seal goes over the tube before pushing the white plastic jet onto the other white plastic part. Jet and seal then pushed into the back of the pan. Hope this helps

This sounds like the Twyfords Nocturn toilet and the plastic part is in two pieces, one that connects with bolts to the oval plate and seals with the doughnut onto the base of the cistern(horizontal plastic face) while the other (vertical face) connects to the back of the toilet pan. Also with two bolts. The second piece of plastic is a tube with three openings and fits into the back of the pan. This distributes water round the bowl. It pushes on to the other plastic part and there is a soft seal, hollow cylinder in shap, that keeps it water tight. I am told it is called a 'nocturn accelerator' is in white plastic and now as rare as hen's teeth! Good luck finding one.

thanks maximo, this toilet is way old and the cistern does not fit directly into pan - there is a plastic fitting / tube connecting the cistern via the 'doughnut' / coupling kit.

Normally there is only an oval metal plate with two long bolts and a ' doughnut' circular rubber seal to join the cistern to a close couple pan. The plate is held onto the cistern by the large plastic nut screwed onto the base of the syphon, that protrudes through the base of the cistern. There is no other plastic part involved. Are you sure it is a close couple and not a low level system ? Close couple cisterns sit ontop of the pan.
