Logik LCD TV LCX27WN2?

We have a 27" Logik LCD TV which was purchased on 24th January 2005.

Recently, it has started to go wrong, either the picture completely goes and we just get sound, the tv switches off and goes into standby (on both of these occasions you can turn off the power and switch it back on again) or else it completely loses all power and you cannot turn it back on for some time. It is very intermittent and sometimes will work for a few hours (we don't tend to have the tv on for any more than a maximum of three hours) other times it may just be on for about 10 minutes and start doing this.

Any ideas what might be wrong. I think the picture problem may be the inverter but what about the total power loss?

Thanks for your assistance.

sounds to me like the inverter board has broken and will need replacement or repairing
