Water pump leaks on Kenmore Elite Washer, mod#11022942100?

Water pump leaks where the motor spindle runs into pump. I think I need to replace a gasket/seal, but I cannot get the pump removed from the washer. How can I do this!

You may have to chiesel or cut the old pump out to get it free from the shaft.
