My washing machine Hoover hd vision 1600 will not drain and is stuck on time save. Do I need a new washing machine now?

My machine was doing exactly the same thing. I'm no electrical engineer, but read the above answer... I couldn't take off the control panel that lead to the pcbabcd so I whacked it three times in frustration! My machine now spins perfectly! In this case, violence is the answer!

Hi,
my machine had the same fault and seems to be quite common. What I did was remove the pcb behind the control panel buttons, its held on by several plastic clips and simply ensure the ribbin cable was making a good conection from this board to the programmer. My fault was either a loose connection or the pcb was not in the correct position either way, it now works perfect and only took 5 mins work @ no cost.
