I can not locate my USB mass storage device on 'My COMPUTER" and the light doesn't flash on the usb stick either

I've got the same problem except that in device manager the stick shows up and apparently there are no problems with it - Windows says it is working fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as i've had the stick a while but haven't used it much at all.

well, just had my 2gig usb drive fail on me.....the light flashed and went off, the pc gave a 'problem installing' type warning.
as previous answer stated, the pc should auto find and install a usb pen drive so you may be out of luck here i'm afraid.

Plugging it into a usb port should then self configure the interface between the pc and the external device. Have you tried the drive in all of the usb ports with the same result ?
