Maybe its out of oil and needs fresh oil, and cleaning too. Oil is better but after 3 years you will oil the movement again since it will dry. After oiling the movement, check if its out of beat. Adjust the escapement so it ticks evenly. If you hear an even tick-tock, then its fine.
