crackling noise on phone?

3 wks ago i had sky + fitted and since it was all turned on my phone calls have been very crackly and at the other end. BT says no fault on line, Sky talk tested twice and it failed. I've brought new BT master box filters/surge protector still no good. I can unplug everything and go dirrectly in to the master box no good. Sky mananger has done one more test saying there is a fault showing but not on the line.?

I would be very greatful if any one can help.

Sky boxes are notorious for this problem. If the noise goes away when the Sky box is unplugged from the line then the box is faulty. (Remote operators cannot test the box for line noise and so I have no idea what Sky are up to.) So just call Sky and tell, them to replace the faulty Sky+ box.

BTW unless you have multi-room (more than one Sky box in use for an extra £10 subscription) or PPV the Sky+ box does not need to be plugged in to the telephone line.
