BT Synergy 3505 I can't hear them but they can hear me?

Hand set 2 works perfectly, but hand set 1 will ring, when picked up, the person at the other end can hear me but I can't hear them.
I have tried deselecting the hand set, then reselecting, but this didn't help either

We have the same problem. It is the earpiece that is not working so we press the handsfree button when we answer a call. Not ideal but it works.
