How do I replace the hose on a Dyson DCO7?

The hose on my dyson has split. I have found a replacement but cannot get the old hose off the Dyson, where it is connected to the actual hoover. Please explain how to disconnect the old one and how to fit the new one.

Unwind flex. Press wand release button and move wand to side. At base of corrugated tube, between tube and back of machine is a sprung tongue pointing upwards.Pull this backwards towards the tube and lift tube assembly with the downward pointing hook used to wind up the flex. Slide new tube into position from top.
