I have a Halstead Finest Gold Combi boiler. I used to put pressure into the system by turning a value lever at the back through 90 degrees, Now when I turn the valve nothing happens! There is no sound of water filling and the tap has not split and turns fine. Can anyone help with this problem?

Make sure the tap is off, then loosen the water connection between it and the boiler. Turn the tap gently back on, and water should escape. If there is no water visible, then either the tap itself has broken, or there is a blockage behind it.
