lead waste pipe in my kitchen broken?

i have a very old lead waste pipe from my kitchen sink it goes in to the wall and has cracked an split where it goes in the wall can i buy fittings to go the lead pipe like a compression fitting that will enable me to fix it and attach a 32 ml plastic pipe

just cant afford a plummber the kitchen has cost 6000 and no extra money

john this a waste pipe not a water feed pipe. lol
you'll need to rip it out and fit complete new waste as the can't get a fitting lead to plastic waste.

There certainly is - the fitting you need is called a 'Leadlok' and they are available from Screwfix direct - and maybe B&Q or other plumbing specialists. They work perfectly well, are easy to fit, so long as the access to the lead pipe (which needs to be straight) is good. Fitting one really depends on your confidence - and naturally the water needs to be turned off outside your house. Water boards do this for free - but charge £50 to turn it back on.....which you can also do yourself with the correct key.
