Peugeot 206 1999, Blaupunkt radio stopped working?

I stopped my car yesterday and the radio worked fine. Next day when I restarted the car the radio would not work at all. I have checked that any fuses are fine. Please, do you have any idea what could be wrong?

My radio has done this a few times now. I disconnect the car battery, even for a second and it works again. Don't know what causes it but it's a pain resetting the clock all the time :(

Hi All,

I have a similar problem whereas the display does not light up and the radio does not work, even though all the fuses in the fuse box are fine.

Any body got any ideas at all please. All suggestions are appreciated, thank you.

I have a similar problem whereby the car is showing radio out on the display. Have tried disconnecting the stereo and it won't react to being turned on... Any ideas?

Had similar problem. Solved by disconnecting battery (-ve cable) waiting a few seconds and then reconnecting. It asked for the code as usual and it all worked fine.

I don`t recognise the Radio:Out display but at least if there is a display then it means that the power is getting to the radio OK.

If you have the Security Code for the radio , then I`d try a "reboot" by either disconnecting the fuse or battery connection for 5 minutes, replace , then enter the code and see what happens.

If you don`t have the code quote ALL the SERIAL NUMBERS on the radio casing and hopefully I`ll be able to calculate it for you.
A couple of useful sites for info are

For entering code see

For extracting radio from dashboard see

RegWorts, thanks for your answer.
The display lights up as usually, but the radio switch doesn’t react at all and radio stays off. Display says “Radio:Out”.

hi wyn i know you said you have checked the fuses but have you checked the one in the wiring lum behind the radio, you may need to remove the radio without disconnecting the wire's to find this fuse hope this help's best of luck.

Does the display light up when you switch it on?

If so , what does it say?

If not, then it is likely that there is no power to the radio , either a blown fuse or poor/connection somewhere.
(Might be worth pushing the radio front hard to make sure that it hasn`t come loose )

If you have / can use a multi-meter or test lamp, then the radio can be removed and the wiring can be checked.

If not , then you`ll have to take it in for repair.
