I turn it on and the green power button comes on for a couple of seconds and thengoes off.

there is a switch box in the back of your tv, we had a tv and 300 dollars later and the repairman, it was the on off switch box inside the tv that had to be replaced

I had the same problem one day when I turned on the the colors massed up the lens are not the way should be and every thing are mixed there is no way you can watch it

i have no idea but have the same thing happening on my mitsubishi. i turn it on and then goes out 5 seconds later. i called one repair guy and said it may be over heating. so i plugged out my cheap secuirity camrea and the headset that came with it and pulled it away from the wall and sterios. this worked for about a day, so i pushed it back in and now it has the same problem. im guessing the cable guy was right.
