How can i get my cdr 2005 off the safe mode when I've lost the code?

I don't recall having the code to my radio (CDR 2005 VDO) when I bought my car at auction and now I've had some work done on it and had to disconnect the battery. It's now stuck in 'safe' mode. Is there any way out of this without paying Vauxhall a fortune?

There is a small oweners card with the car. It has the paint code, other stuff ...and the radio code. It's about credit card size. Look for that. Entry of teh code if you have it can be picked up on google.

In a word NO.

VDO ( new name for Philips) can usually only be decoded by the main dealer or a Decode Specialist ( see Ebay or search via Google)
