To tune Hitachi C14 P216 TV, you need a remote control and to use 3 control functions:
a. Press Preset (Control function) on the remote.
b. If you get horizontal line of blue bars on screen, use + and - Search (Control function) buttons ON THE TELEVISION - these are the volume + and - buttons. In other words, one pair of buttons, dual functions. (The word Search can be seen etched on the plastic casing)
c. If you do not see the horizontal line of bars on screen, don't give up, just press Preset a second time.
d. To tune a particular channel, use the Channel Select or Channel up down buttons (Control function).
The key to tuning the set is the remote control and pressing the Preset button once or twice to get the bars.
