Bosch Maxx WFL 1200 - No Drum Rotation!?

Hi our Bosch MaXX WFL 1200 fails to do any drum rotation - neither in the wash nor the spin cycle.

The water fills the drum as per usual but once filled to the correct level according to the wash load it just sits and proceeds no further.

If the instruction dial is moved manually to spin cycle it will drain & expel the water correctly but once again no drum movement. We've checked button settings etc & we have 2 of these models which we've used since store purchase.

Any assistance / advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,i have too a wfl 1200 and my problem is :
i connect the machine to the 220 V plug,i turn on the water faucet that is connected to her water alimentation pipe, set a program, and afterwards, the machine starts an odd sound,a low frequency one, like a motor that can't move but it's connected,an then, she begins to spin the wash nor,but she expels the hole water out in the same time.
I don't have a repairman near me,can you help me please?

Change the brushes, I did it myself today and now my machine is working.

I just fixed a similar sounding problem on my WFL2000. First check the belt is intact and in place. If so, next find the wiring loom to the motor from underneath. Carefully cut the cable tie holding the wires and plastic protective sheet. Remove and re-seat the wiring multiplug and the earth spade connector on the motor. Replace the cable tie and the plastic sheet (important to stop the motor from corroding) I didn't use any contact cleaner, just pulled the connector out and pushed it back in. Now the motor works.

It may be that the brushes in the motor are worn, they are a replaceable spare part.
