Yes the remote and the vcr has the ability to change the ir frequency. If you have changed it by mistake do the following as described in the user manual.
Press the ENTER and either the 1 or the 2 then try to turn to standby with the remote if it works all is ok, if it doen't repeat using the other number thats done it. You can then enter the menu and others to check what the vcr is set to if you change it you will have to follow the remote procedure as above.
