OK - I'm currently feeling very pleased with myself having just fixed my f-11 fault.

f-5 and f-11 are to do with the pump not working or the filter blocked. I found that out on the web. This matched with the physical problem that the water was not being pumped out.

So I syphoned the machine empty - sucking on the outlet pipe - uck !

Once the machine was empty (WITH THE POWER OFF !) I removed the bottom cover - two screws.

There is a big black pipe which comes off the drum and connectes to the pump located at the base of the unit.

disconect the black pipe ( the hardest job since the plastic clips were a bugger to undo)

See if any blockage.

Then see if the pump can rotate - you can get a finger in to the pump and feel it rotate.

Mine didn't - ie it was stuck with something. There is also a little power plug - this seemed as though it could work loose - check yours - this might just be the problem

The pump comes off the unit by sliding it forward - no screws or anything

Once off I could then see a hairband wrapped around the blades. this was removed

I then tested the pump by touching two wires pluged in to the mains on the terminels - BE CAREFUL - I doubt health and saftey would like this idea.

The pump worked so I just replaced it back, taking care to tighten the black hose.

All back and working.

Total job time - 20mins

hurah !
