Hi MS,
Some have said clean the lens. This did not work in my case. I took the bottom off the player to expose the circuit board and pulled off the jumper switches and put them back on two or three times each with needle nose pliers after disconnecting the electricity. This fixed it. There must have been a bit of corrosion one of the connections. You will need a small screwdriver to get the bottom off. Look to see what type of screw heads are on the fasteners, phillips, slotted, etc.
