how can i fix my diplomat dishwasher ADP8242?

The programme selector light is stuck on a programme and will not move when the programme selector button is depressed.Thus the dishwasher will not start when the door is closed.

sw off app,thensw on and hold program buton at same time,hold 4 ,5 secs then let go and sw off app ..sw on and try programe,hope this helps
