AL99 on DWF70 Hotpoint dishwasher?

My Hotpoint dishwasher keeps flashing AL99. I switch it off and it will be fine for a while and then starts flashing again. There is no error code AL99 in the instruction booklet and the girl answering the service enquiry desk says I have to have an engineer out to tell me what the code is!! Today I had a different code flash up - AL03! Any ideas anyone?

I tried the 'turn off for more than 30 seconds' trick and this worked!

i had AL 03 as well but after clearing the pump (matchstick stuck) i still get the alarm. i guessed that the pump motor has burned out but now guess it cant have because the water recirculates. Does it use the same pump to drain / recirc?

We get AL99 all the time. Hotpoint couldn't really answer the question but told us to switch the unit off for 30 secs which should clear the problem. It doesn't! Today we got AL03 which Hotpoint advised is either a clogged filter (already checked), a blocked or kinked outlet hose (already checked) or the pump (guessed it might be). As there appears to be no physical attempt by the machine to pump the water out of the unit I'm guessing it is the pump and not the programmer at fault and will now shop around and fit a new pump myself.

AL03 means your pump is blocked
