Laptop turns itself off and makes noises?

acer aspire 1360

(barely nothing on it plenty of free space and no junk or virses) odnt think any viruses have anti virus software

When i turn on my laptop sometimes its just random but maybe it could be that it hasnt been shut down properly and i hav to hold down power button for ages to make the really loud and high pitched noise stop as it stops the laptop turning on properly well it doesnt og to start screen or anything

the only reason it doesnt always get shut down properly is because it turns itself off in the middle of everything without ending program or shutting down!!

can someone please suggest something i can do!

also the laptop gets pretty damn hot underneath although the charger doesnt at all barely and i can feel the fan as its by the buttons above keyboard.

cheers =]

Before chunking it in the garbage, get a can of compressed & see if you can't dislodge a big clump of hair/dirt/etc.
Overheating is almost always from clogged air flow areas. If the fan can't expel the hot air, the heatsink & processor keep heating up. At a certain point, the processor can't perform it's job & the system shuts down, by default, to keep you from having a fireball on your lap & to reduce damage. Prolonged operation will fry your motherboard eventually, but I have "fixed" several laptops just by cleaning them ( If you are adventurous, you could try removing the keyboard & top motherboard cover. This will allow you lots of space to clean).

by what you have said, your system needs a new motherboard fitted ,

all three point to it

1, random shutdowns
2, non charging off battery
3, constant high fan spin (due to overheating)

probably not what you wanted to hear
