bench sawoo s?

my bench saw that i uswe to cut up firewood seems to overheat cuts out then cools then can restart but it seems to get worse as the time goes on starts to cut out every 5 mins what does it need ie new motor or brushes its hot too should i bin it or what

It could be on its last legs.
Hope the timber is not round as in my books on saws it clearly states not to be used for cutting logs or round timber. I assume your cutting up off cuts from DIY jobs. I can only assume why the say NO to cutting round lumber that it may have the effect you describe. ie: over heating the saw.
