how to i get his thing to work consistently -wont play at all; display lights tho; second unit aiwa nsx-v20 would only play in slot 2 for a while now wont play at all- spins like crazy; slows;stops; no sound- both recently given to me...looks like they were in the garage or other dusty place - cant figure if it doesnt see the disc or how to open player to clean....might be a little too advanced for a chick..but would like to give it a try.

if your player isnt playing at all that is a motor problem if the radio/casette and cd are not playing chances are it is a blown transistor in the audio usually the primary one is the first to go in the line you can try to pt the output through another amplifier if you can hear it at all then that is the problem
