How do I stop a chain stitch from unraveling?

How do I stop a chainstitch in a hem from unraveling without taking out the whole hem and doing it all over?
Carol, July 2008
If enough of the chain stitch has unraveled (3 - 5 inches) thread it in a needle and either thread it back through the stitches that haven't unraveled, or put one stitch in and then knot your thread like you normally would.

If you don't sew, and have no idea how to tie off your thread, ask your mother. :)
