You haven't said anything about the design of the dress, or whereabouts the hole is (front, back, etc)...which will affect how to sort the problem...
panel positions? Darts? collars / neckline? what's the fabric like? colour? any fastenings (zips / buttons) etc...
This is probably why you've not received a reply yet :)
Perhaps provide more info about the dress. There are different ways / methods of sorting this kind of thing out but more info is needed first.
