How do I replace the bulb in a circa 1983 Sharp Carousel Microwave?

How do I replace the bulb in a circa 1983 Sharp Carousel CONVECTION Microwave?

1983-1984 was the year the house was built. I recently bought the house, when the oven bulb quit working.

It is a wall-mounted oven and difficult to remove. I do not have a model number.

You have to remove the cover from the unit. Take care of the capacitor. It has about 4,000 volts or less stored in it. I've seen them hold power for a month in rare cases. If you touch it, it may kill you by stopping your heart. Find out if it has a slide switch for the convection temperature control...

In most cases you would have to remove the outer cover of the microwave, which means removing it from the wall.

In my professional opinion, no one should work on a microwave unless they are fully informed and aware of the deadly hazards and necessary precautions.
