My Polaroid DVD Player says "No Disc"?

When I insert any DVD into my Polaroid DVD Player (PDV-0801A) it makes a whiring noise (sounds like it is spinning the DVD) and stops-it then makes another whiring noise and stops-then displays a "No Disc" message at the top left corner. I have tried multiple DVD's and verified the DVD's are operational in another non-portable DVD player. What can I do or where do I take it for repair? I am unable to locate my warranty information and have not had any success locating information online. I may have my receipt buy have not verified it for sure. I purchased the unit from Wal-mart in Dec 04 for $300.00. Please help!

I tried cleaning it with a Q-tip. It just broke the machine.

Mine is doing the same thing. I can't find anywhere to take it to be fixed. If you find an answer please let me know.

I just got the 0700 model and had the same problem. There was a little, rectangular, yellow sticker (with some warning on it) right next to the lens. The sticker was actually curved upward a little. I guess it was wreaking havoc with the disk balancing. Removing that damned little sticker solved the whole problem!
