How do you remove the knurled nut that is the water on / off from the shaft behind the cover plate and is there a manual for complete overhaul

this might help

try taking the cover off it they should be one screw at the bottem
undo that then take off cover
wher the nut is the should be a bigger one just behide it !becareful if you over force it it will not aline properly and will be no use!
